Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Emma Stone and many other stars jumped on the bandwagon of social media this week to help Kony's name is viral.
On Monday, the filmmakers released a 30-minute video as part of an effort called Kony 2012 which is directed to Joseph Kony, a Ugandan bush fighter wanted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity.
Uganda, Invisible Children and # stopkony were among the top 10 in terms of trends worldwide Twitter Wednesday night, ranking higher than the new iPad or Peyton Manning, AP reports.
Ryan Seacrest, posted a note on his Facebook page with the video, saying, "Will you sleep last night and saw ur tweets about Kony 2012 ... was in bed, I was impressed."
Diddy Tweet: "Dear Joseph Kony, I will help make you famous We stop StopKONY All YOU # 6, OOO, OOO of my followers Pls RT NOW!" has retweeted 62, 287 times.
